They hide behind “God bless you, sis” but carries poison in their tone.

This one might sting, but it’s needed. Let’s talk about what “mean girl” behavior looks like in the church and how to heal from it:

They say ‘let’s keep her in prayer’ but really just want to share her business. That’s not intercession, it’s gossip in a church dress.

They love you when you’re beneath them, but get weird when God elevates you.

Real sisters clap for your blessings.

They don’t guide you, they guilt trip you. Leadership without humility is control, not calling.

When the women’s group starts feeling like high school lunch tables…God’s house isn’t a popularity contest.

They quote the Bible to shame, not to restore. Correction should come with compassion, not condemnation.

They see your light and try to dim it. Kingdom women don’t compete,they connect. Hugging you on Sunday, hating on you by Monday. Smiles mean nothing without sincerity.

They’ll say ‘I just don’t want you to get prideful,’ but really they’re envious. That’s not discernment, it’s disguised jealousy.

They’ll clap for you online but criticize you in private. A real friend protects your name when you’re not in the room.

They can rebuke everyone else but can’t handle correction themselves. Sis, self-reflection is holy too.

Mean girl’ behavior isn’t a personality issue, it’s a heart issue. Ask God to heal your heart so you can love freely again. This behavior doesn’t belong in the church or the Kingdom.

We’re called to uplift, not compete; to cover, not gossip.
