Helping Teenage Girls Build Confidence..

I was a teenager going through puberty, and I remember when I was in elementary school being called “Goosebumps” because I had pimples (it was a TV show). Those words stuck with me longer than they should have. They made me feel less than, and I started wearing makeup at an early age to cover up hormonal acne that later caused hyperpigmentation. I didn’t feel pretty enough until high school, and even then, I struggled with self-esteem.

If only I had peers who saw the beauty beyond the surface. That could have helped me see myself the way God does. Now, I look at today’s generation and I know it’s time we start teaching our daughters to love who they are naturally. Beauty fades, but identity in Christ is eternal.

When I look back, I see a young girl desperate to feel enough. Being called “Goosebumps” in elementary school might’ve seemed harmless, but it left a mark that shaped how I saw myself. Puberty came, acne followed, and makeup became my mask. I thought if I covered my flaws, maybe I’d finally feel pretty.

It took growing in faith to realize my worth was never in my looks, it was in the One who created me. Now I see young girls chasing beauty through wigs, lashes, and filters, searching for validation that can’t fill the soul.

That’s why I’m passionate about teaching them early before the world defines them, that real beauty isn’t on the surface, it’s in the spirit. The world praises what fades, but God values what lasts.

Trusting in God is essential in life because it anchors our faith and provides peace in both good and difficult times. When we **T**hank God, we acknowledge His presence and provision in our lives, fostering gratitude that deepens our trust. Gratitude reminds us that no matter the situation, God is
