I’ve been MIA…

Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? If you've been wondering why things have been so quiet from my corner, well, sorry I've been MIA! To say February was a bit rough would be a monumental understatement. It felt like a relentless, never-ending cycle of one illness after another, truly testing every ounce of my patience and energy. It all started with what seemed like a minor cold, but then it just compounded. We had multiple urgent care trips, which as any parent knows, are exhausting in themselves. Sitting in waiting rooms, trying to entertain a sick, restless child, all while feeling wiped out yourself? It's a special kind of hell. Then came the double ear infections – twice! The sleepless nights, the worry, the struggle to get medicine into a resistant toddler... it truly wears you down. And to add another layer, we even had to do a sleep test. Just another appointment to juggle, another set of instructions to follow, all while operating on fumes. Through it all, I kept thinking, "How do other moms do this?!" On top of the health challenges, we decided (or rather, my little one decided) it was time for potty training. While I'm incredibly proud of their progress, let me tell you, the phrase "never-ending laundry" has taken on a whole new meaning in our household. Accidents are part of the process, but the sheer volume of extra loads has been staggering. It feels like I'm constantly shifting between medical appointments and the washing machine. And life, of course, doesn't just stop because you're in survival mode. We had a birthday to celebrate (which was wonderful but added to the planning and energy drain), and then school meetings that required my full attention. Each of these things, individually, is manageable, but when they all pile up in one incredibly intense month, it's easy to feel completely submerged. Honestly, as I'm writing this, I feel like I'm getting sick again, or maybe my allergies are just hitting me with a vengeance. It's hard to tell the difference when your body just feels perpetually run down. That constant low-level fatigue makes everything feel ten times harder. For anyone else out there navigating similar waters, whether it's chronic illness in the family, the wild ride of toddler development, or just a period where life throws everything at you at once, know that you're not alone. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, to take a step back, and to apologize for being "MIA" from your usual routines or social interactions. Sometimes, just getting through the day is a victory. I've found even tiny moments of self-care, like a hot cup of tea in peace or five minutes of quiet, can make a small difference. I'm truly hoping to find my footing again soon and get back to sharing more consistently.
