🇺🇸 Veterans Day hits a little different in our home.
My husband is a veteran — one of the strongest, kindest, most selfless people I know. He’s faced challenges with PTSD that can mimic early-onset dementia… and watching someone you love fight invisible wounds is something you never forget.
Every year, this day reminds me just how important it is to not only thank our veterans for their service(every day!), but to truly see them.
Too many veterans lose their lives to suicide each day. They aren’t just statistics — they’re fathers, mothers, sons, daughters, husbands, and wives.
💬 And sometimes, what makes a difference isn’t a big gesture — it’s a small one.
A simple “thank you” or “how are you doing, really?” might be the thing that reminds someone they matter… that they’re not forgotten… that their story still matters.
So today, take a moment to reach out. Say thank you. Ask how someone’s doing. Share a memory. Offer kindness. It might seem small to you, but it could mean the world to them. Try to make It a habit to do more than once a year as well🤍
