Winnie’s ears have finally popped! What we did to help make them stand without taping them:
1. Cottage cheese - I bought 2% cottage cheese and added 2 tablespoons to her kibble everyday! The calcium helps her cartilage become strong enough to hold the satellite dishes 😂
2. Teething toys - lots of toys to chew on to strengthen jaws and help hold her ears upright!
3. Collagen/bully sticks - really any kind of chewing treat! Strengthening their jaws help hold the ears up!
4. Using gravity - when laying down we tried to make sure she wasn’t laying on her ear and instead it was raised, hoping that having it in the position would help the cartridge solidify that way. Not sure if this one helped that much but it was worth a shot!
We learned that sometimes you can do all of these things and their ears still won’t come up, and that’s ok! We were worried about ear infections and other ear problems so we tried all of the things to help them stand!
Did anyone else try these things and they worked? We’ve only had Winnie for 5 days and they were both floppy when we got her and now they are both up! 🐶
