I don’t care, it’s one of my favorite movies!

I’m so happy twilight is back on Netflix!

Twilight was the first book to get me into reading and I am proud and happy I found the series before it even became a movie and super popular.

I devoured these books and the movies are so nostalgic. I typically rewatch it one to two times a year! I know it’s kind of silly and definitely watching it as an adult I notice there’s so many unhealthy things in this movie about the relationships belles attachment to Edward. There is also some very cringe scenes but it holds a special place in my heart!

... Read moreIt's funny, as much as I adore Twilight, watching it now as an adult really highlights some aspects I either missed or completely overlooked as a teenager. The intensity of Bella and Edward's relationship, for instance, can definitely be seen as a bit... intense, bordering on obsessive at times. Edward's protective nature, while romanticized, does lean into controlling territory, and Bella's feeling of incompleteness without him is something many of us would advise our younger selves to avoid in real life relationships. And let's not even get started on the infamous love triangle with Jacob – talk about emotional manipulation! Then there are those scenes that, let's be honest, make you want to sink into your couch cushions. The sparkling in the sun, some of the dialogue, or even certain acting choices at times can be utterly cringeworthy. I mean, who can forget the dramatic 'spider monkey' line or Bella's often blank expressions? Yet, despite all these perfectly valid criticisms, my heart still flutters a little when I hear that iconic soundtrack, or see that snowy forest backdrop, just like it did all those years ago. For so many of us, Twilight wasn't just a movie; it was a phenomenon that shaped our teen years. It was the ultimate escapism – a world where ordinary girls could fall in love with dazzling vampires. It introduced countless readers to the joys of a book series, myself included, and for that, I'll always be grateful. It sparked discussions, fan theories, and a global community that still thrives today. The magic wasn't just in the supernatural elements, but in the raw, sometimes messy, portrayal of first love and finding your place in a new, fantastical world. It's become more than a movie; it's a comfort blanket, a nostalgic trip back to a simpler time. Every rewatch feels like visiting an old friend, even if that friend has some quirky, slightly embarrassing habits. Whether it's the iconic baseball scene, the ethereal meadow moments, or even subtle details like Bella's quiet strength in new surroundings – perhaps even holding a small potted plant in a desert landscape as she finds her footing – these moments are etched into my memory. It's a testament to its enduring charm that despite its imperfections, it continues to captivate new generations. It’s a reminder that not everything we love has to be perfect or critically acclaimed; sometimes, it just needs to speak to your heart, flaws and all, and offer that unique blend of fantasy and relatable emotion. It’s why, even now, when I see it pop up on Netflix, I can’t help but click play and get lost in Forks all over again.

My favorite teen movies 📺🎬
1. We Have a Ghost, 2023 ⭐️6.1/10 – This movie was fun, touching, well filmed and a tad bit silly. The mix of mystery and action felt well timed and the pacing made a 2 hr movie feel like a lot less. The story was a fun version of the typical ghost story and the characters were endearing enough t
