... Read moreOkay, so you've heard about Dafont.com for free handwriting fonts – amazing, right?! But let me share a few more tips and tricks I've picked up to really elevate your digital planning game and make finding those perfect fonts even easier. First off, diving into Dafont can be a bit overwhelming with thousands of options. My personal strategy? Don't just search 'handwriting fonts.' Try filtering! Look for categories like 'Script,' 'Handwritten,' or even 'Calligraphy' for more specific styles. And always double-check the license – most are '100% Free' for personal use, which is perfect for your planner! I usually download a bunch that catch my eye, then narrow them down. Now, let's talk about choosing the right font. It's not just about what looks pretty! Think about readability. For daily planning, you want something clear and easy on the eyes. For headers or special sections, you can get a little more creative. I've found that fonts like 'Paper Notes Regular' are fantastic for everyday notes because they're clean and legible. If I'm going for a whimsical, personal touch, something like 'Please Write me a Song Medium' adds so much character to my journal entries or mood trackers. For a cozy, rustic vibe, 'FARMHOUSE REGULAR' is a dream, and 'Simple Handmade Regular' gives a lovely minimalist feel. Experiment with different styles to see what truly enhances your planner's aesthetic! Bringing these beautiful fonts into GoodNotes is super straightforward, but sometimes people miss a tiny step. After you've downloaded your chosen font from Dafont (it'll usually be a .ttf or .otf file), you absolutely need an app like iFont. Open iFont, select 'Install' and then navigate to your downloaded font files. Once installed in iFont, it basically makes them available system-wide on your iPad. Then, when you open GoodNotes and go to add text, your newly installed fonts will magically appear in the font list! It’s such a satisfying moment when you see them there, ready to use. If you ever run into trouble, a quick restart of GoodNotes (or even your iPad) usually fixes it. And here’s a pro tip from my own experience: don't go overboard with too many fonts in one planner spread. I try to stick to one or two main handwriting fonts for consistency – maybe one for headings and another for body text. This keeps your planner looking cohesive and not too cluttered. Also, remember you can adjust the size and color within GoodNotes to make your 'handwritten' notes pop! This entire process has truly transformed my digital planning, making it feel so much more personal and enjoyable. Happy planning, everyone!
