Grwm for my first ever hockey game

If you're like me and wondering what to wear or what to expect, here are some extra tips to make your game day unforgettable, especially when it's cold outside. First off, let's talk warmth. The arena, even if it's called "MUSIC CITY HOCKEY" or sounds warm, is cold inside! I learned quickly that layers are your best friend. My coat from Missguided was a great start, but I wore a long-sleeved top underneath, and even considered a thin sweater. Think thermal leggings under your jeans from Buffalo Exchange if you get chilly easily. You’re going to be sitting for a while, and the ice keeps the temperature down! Don’t underestimate how quickly the cold can seep in. For footwear, comfort is key. While my shoes from Macy's looked cute, I made sure they were closed-toe and had good traction. You might do a fair bit of walking from parking to your seat, and you don’t want to be uncomfortable. Plus, if you’re out in the winter air before and after the game, warm boots are a lifesaver. Beyond the main outfit, accessories are crucial. I grabbed some sunglasses from Amazon, which were perfect for the bright lights and sometimes reflective ice, but also consider a cute knit beanie, gloves, or a warm scarf. They add to your #winteroutfitideas and provide that extra layer of warmth. My purse from Windsor was just big enough for essentials, but remember, many arenas have bag policies, so check before you go! Now, for the "first game" experience itself. I'd recommend arriving a bit early. This gives you time to navigate the arena, find your seats, maybe grab a snack or drink, and soak in the pre-game atmosphere. Seeing the rink fill up, the warm-ups, and all the fans is part of the fun. If you're at a prominent venue like a "BRIDGESTONE" sponsored arena, the energy is usually electric! Don't be afraid to ask questions if you're unsure about something, whether it's where the restrooms are or how a certain play works. Most fans are happy to share their love for the game. The noise level can be intense, especially during exciting plays, so be ready for that adrenaline rush! Staying comfortable throughout the game is important. You might be cheering, standing, or walking around during intermissions. I always keep hydration in mind, and some people even bring a small, foldable cushion for their seat. While I didn't need any "KRT Athletic Muscle Cream" during my first game, I can totally see why some avid fans might keep something like that handy for post-game soreness, especially if they're really getting into the cheering! Overall, my first hockey game was an amazing experience, and getting my GRWM right definitely helped me enjoy it even more. It’s all about blending style with practicality so you can focus on the thrilling action on the ice. Go enjoy your game!
