My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
When I was a kid, I used to play a lot of city builder sim games. Especially ancient civ ones like Pharoah and Majesty. I sank HOURS into these games, and let me tell you, the obsession has returned! I haven’t been this invested in a city builder in years. I love the realism of this game, the way you can build homes and work places for your people, farms, trade routes, everything! The game is VERY complex, so it can be challenging at first. I started a new game over so many times, wanting to get a good start to my settlement with the new tricks I learned along the way just by playing the game and getting a feel for it.
There is military and combat elements to the game, but I turned those off and opted for the peaceful/relaxing game mode, which is indeed very relaxing! I love zooming in and watching my people go about their days. And the graphics are very nice and cozy. It’s like being in my own little medieval utopia! Highly, highly recommend this game if you like city builder sims! Just be warned, this is an early access game, so it is missing some of the planned features, and I’m pretty sure it’s a small, if not one person team. So expect some bugs (I haven’t encountered any yet though!)
