✨🍋I’m struggling🍋✨

I’m all for being open

So I wanted to share this with you in the case that you deal with this too

Last year in November I lost my job at the Bank I had been working for 2 years and 11 months

I was devastated

Not for the job, but for the fact that I had lost the job that I damn near killed myself for

I didn’t have any money to take care of my house, yet somehow everything I needed was provided

I don’t often talk about my faith on here but God did his big one for me

When I didn’t have meals, the food bank and my mother made sure

My fiance worked night and day and single-handedly paid our rent

We were still able to get food for our two very big dogs

And we still had some semblance of Christmas!

I bought a car that we very much needed with the savings that I had built and that made me so happy!

It took a lot out of me, I remember laying out in our snow covered front yard asking God to change my situation around

I asked him to open doors that no man can shut

And just like he always does

He came through, not because of anything but my pure faith!

After four long months, I got my dream job working to help people find housing, and I got back into my creativity!

But this project is still so hard to finish

Maybe because I haven’t finished feeling like I’m struggling.

We aren’t struggling by any means

We have more than enough

And for that I’m thankful

But my mental health hasn’t recovered yet and I feel silly

I got my dreams, God is good!

But mentally I’m still stuck in this rut and all I’m asking for is prayers

But I wanted to remind myself and y’all that God doesn’t do things to make us hate him

In fact it’s the other way around

He does things for our own greater good

And while I thought I was going into my worst season, God showed me that he was preparing me for a blessing that I couldn’t have ever imagined!

Thinking about the people I lost and things I didn’t have and everything wouldn’t have done me any good

They’re with the Lord in their time

And my goal is to forever continue to remain faithful and trust that God has a plan, a purpose, and a future for me (Jeremiah 29v11)

It's essential to remember that reaching out for support can make a difference. Utilizing local food banks, as I did, often provides a lifeline for those facing financial hardship. Engaging with community resources, including churches and support groups, fosters a strong network for emotional and practical assistance. Mental health struggles are common after such upheaval, with many finding it hard to regain their footing. It's vital to acknowledge these feelings and actively seek help, whether through therapy, support groups, or personal reflection. As I have learned, resilience is built through adversity, and while the path to recovery may be slow, each step forward matters. Moreover, sharing experiences fosters connection and understanding within communities. My experience reflects that faith and perseverance play crucial roles in overcoming life's obstacles. Trusting that a higher power has a greater plan can provide hope and motivation to keep moving forward. In moments of darkness, uplifting discussions with friends or online support groups can illuminate the way forward, reinforcing the idea that one is never alone in their struggles. Accepting support and expressing gratitude for small victories can significantly enhance one’s perspective and lead to healing.
