Credit Card Strategy with Just 3 Cards

With KrisFlyer miles devaluation and all the recent card nerfs, I’ve simplified my game: focusing on Citi Rewards + HSBC Revolution which let me redeem for flights needing fewer miles than Singapore Airlines ✈️.

💳 Citi Rewards earns 4mpd with ShopBack Pay, FavePay, or online/in-app purchases. It’s fuss-free and I don’t need to worry about the MCC. If a store doesn’t take them, then my trusty UOB PPV steps in (I’m using it less now especially after the nerf to $600 cap.)

Sometimes I also mix in Kris+ paired with DBS Woman’s World when the bonus earn rate is high. That extra 9 mpd is great if I still want to redeem SQ flights, so I’ll happily let Citi Rewards take a short break.

Some days I even triple-stack rewards with ShopBack/HeyMax vouchers 😏 but that’s a story for another post. Comment if you need a post on triple stacking the rewards!

... Read moreIf you’re considering which card to use most often, the DBS Woman’s World Card is worth a close look alongside Citi Rewards and HSBC Revolution. I’ve found that the DBS Woman’s World Card offers competitive mile earning rates similar to Citi Rewards but with unique promotional bonuses via Milelion and other platforms, which can boost your miles when timed right. One tip that I've found helpful is to monitor the periodic promotions tied to these cards, especially the DBS Woman’s World Card promotions, which can sometimes outpace standard earn rates temporarily. For example, campaigns like the DBS WWMc Milelion boosts or enhanced spend and redeem programs in 2025 can significantly increase your miles earned per dollar. When it comes to redeeming miles for Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer flights, pairing your card rewards strategically can help you stretch your miles further. I personally mix and match between Citi Rewards and DBS Woman’s World depending on the current promotions and my mileage targets. Also, don’t underestimate the power of online and app-based payments when using Citi Rewards, such as ShopBack Pay and FavePay, which consistently help earn 4 mpd. These digital payment methods sometimes allow double or even triple stacking with vouchers or merchant-specific STAR$ like those from CapitaStar, enhancing overall rewards. For those who travel frequently or plan ahead, linking your DBS Woman’s World Card rewards to Milelion’s tips and tools can provide guidance on timing redemptions or optimizing your miles earning via credit card stacking strategies. This can be particularly useful when you want to maximize miles without juggling too many cards. In my experience, simplifying your credit card game to 3 reliable cards that work well together—Citi Rewards, HSBC Revolution, and DBS Woman’s World—makes traveling easier and more rewarding, especially amid evolving card policies and KrisFlyer devaluation. If you’re curious about advanced stacking methods or want help tailoring a personalized miles strategy, feel free to comment, and I’ll share more insights.
