I'm Toxity (most probably know me as AtomicTot from TikTok)! I specialize in makeup and wig styling for most of my cosplays. Currently, I'm in the process of learning to sew!
I just thought I'd stop in and get started here by posting some of my Toga photos 🔪

... Read moreHey Lemon8 fam! As someone who absolutely loves diving into character, Himiko Toga from My Hero Academia has always been a dream cosplay for me. Her chaotic charm, coupled with that iconic look, makes her incredibly fun to embody. I wanted to share some of my personal insights and tips, especially for those looking to perfect their own Himiko Toga cosplay makeup and hair.
First, let's talk about that signature blonde hair! Toga's messy, voluminous buns are instantly recognizable. For my wig, I always start with a good quality, heat-resistant base wig in a bright, almost platinum blonde. Styling those wild buns involves a lot of teasing and hairspray to get that perfectly unkempt look. Don't be afraid to make it look a little chaotic – that's Toga's style! Some cosplayers opt for a more natural ash blonde, but I find a brighter shade really pops and captures her youthful, energetic vibe. Mastering the hair color and style is crucial for any Toga enthusiast.
Next up, the makeup! This is where the real transformation happens for Himiko Toga. Her yellow eyes are a must-have for me. I always use comfortable colored contact lenses to achieve that unsettling, almost cat-like gaze. It truly makes a world of difference. For her infamous sharp teeth and fangs, there are several approaches. You can buy pre-made dental fangs, or if you're feeling crafty, mold your own using thermoplastic beads for a custom fit. I usually go for a slightly exaggerated look to emphasize her predatory nature. Then, of course, the blood makeup. Toga is known for her love of blood, and incorporating realistic blood splatters and drips around the mouth really sells the character. I use theatrical blood that's safe for skin, making sure to apply it strategically to look spontaneous and a little gruesome, especially around my mouth to mimic her transfusions. A touch of blood on the bloody knife prop makes it even more convincing!
Beyond the makeup, embodying Himiko Toga's personality is key. She's mischievous, playful, yet undeniably dangerous. Practice her iconic poses – like sticking out her tongue or that slightly crazed grin. Her sailor uniform is a classic part of her attire, so ensuring it's neat but perhaps with a hint of being lived-in, adds to the authenticity. Capturing that 'yandere' essence through your expressions and body language really elevates the cosplay, turning a costume into a performance. It’s all about the subtle details that bring her to life. I hope these tips help you achieve your perfect Himiko Toga look!
