I feel like my siblings have this idea

I feel like my siblings have this version of me in their heads that I’m supposed to live up to but it’s not who I am at all. Being around them feels suffocating. I constantly feel judged, like I’m not enough unless they need something from me.

If they cancel plans, it’s fine. But if I do, I’m the one ruining the mood. It’s exhausting, and honestly, I hate how I feel after every interaction with them.

I’m seriously thinking about cutting ties, but before I do, I’d really like to hear from people who’ve actually done it. How did it affect you long-term? Did it bring peace or more regret?#AskLemon8 #Letschat #FamilyBoundaries #SiblingBreakup #ProtectYourPeace

... Read moreFeeling suffocated and judged by siblings can deeply affect one’s mental and emotional well-being. Many people experience a disconnect between who they truly are and the expectations their siblings hold for them, leading to frustration and a sense of inadequacy. This often manifests in imbalanced relationships, such as when plans are canceled by siblings without issue, but the other person is blamed for doing the same. Cutting ties with a sibling is a significant and complex decision that can have long-term emotional consequences. It's important to carefully evaluate one’s feelings and the family dynamics involved. Many who have cut off contact report a mix of relief and lingering questions. Some find it a necessary step for self-protection and mental peace, especially in toxic or emotionally draining relationships. Others may experience regret due to loss, unresolved issues, or family pressure. Before deciding to sever ties, consider setting firm family boundaries or seeking mediation through counseling to improve communication and mutual understanding. Setting boundaries such as limiting contact, clarifying acceptable behaviors, and prioritizing your emotional health can help preserve peace without full estrangement. Resources like support groups, therapy, and online communities (#FamilyBoundaries, #ProtectYourPeace) provide valuable perspectives and shared experiences. They offer guidance on balancing familial loyalty with personal well-being. Ultimately, the decision to maintain or cut ties should prioritize your mental health, emotional safety, and long-term happiness. If you’re facing this dilemma, reflect on your needs and feelings, seek advice from trusted individuals who understand complex family dynamics, and consider professional support to make an informed choice that aligns with your well-being.

Peace. And if you’re thinking about it, that means it’s gotten to a point where your heart is begging you to choose you. If boundaries aren’t respected and everything else you’ve tried had t worked, then cut them off. No point in having people in your life that are baggage.

My siblings didn’t have time for my mom when she was dying of cancer, they only came around for the things they wanted and to upset her. I cut them off the day she died and don’t regret it.

My personal opinion: I made the decision not to read this book even though many have said it's one of the best books in the Acator Sieres. One of the big issues I have with this book is it's all about Nesta which I do not like her one bit. The reason I feel that way is because Nesta ac

Lazy girl meal idea Pt.2
I have been so busy the past few weeks and have gotten into the bad habit of eating out more. Especially when it comes to dinner for my kids because it’s more convenient when I’ve had a long day and don’t feel like cooking. I’ve been trying to snap out of that by cooking more my meals at home.
