Abused the Bottle, Still Not Tired 😅
YSL Y Eau de Parfum
💸 $110–$175 depending on size
🔍 First Impressions:
Oh my god, I love this smell. This is easily one of my top fragrances. It’s consistent, smells amazing, and that green apple note hits every time. I love green apples, so that sweetness instantly pulled me in. You already know I’m into sweet, gourmand scents vanilla, amber, that cozy warmth and while Dior Sauvage is versatile and solid, this one just does it better for me. It’s clean, smooth, and fresh without trying too hard. The craziest part is I haven’t re-upped yet after abusing this bottle, but no matter what, this will always stay in my collection. It’s perfect for daily wear, office settings, or anytime you want to smell put-together. I just really love this scent.
🗣 Compliments & Reactions:
As much as I love this fragrance for how smooth and clean it is, I gotta be real. Compliments weren’t flying left and right like some of my other scents. I’ve seen people say this smells synthetic, but honestly? I don’t care. This one hits for me, and I’ll always have it in my collection. I didn’t wear this much in an office setting, mostly had it on while working on the floor. So yeah, I got a handful of compliments, but nothing over the top. Still, it does its job, and for me, that’s what counts. It gives off a fresh, out the shower gentleman vibe that’s reliable and easy to wear. Doesn’t scream for attention, but it stays consistent. I’d say 6–8 hours of projection easy, and personally, I’ve never gotten a weak batch. This is one of those bottles I could re-up on every time without hesitation.
💡 Scent Tip:
I like to pair this with EOS Chill Breeze lotion. Not a bad combo at all Adds a crisp cool layer underneath and helps the scent last longer Give it a shot.
🧠 Final Thoughts:
This is my consistent killer. My daily driver. I’ve abused this bottle more times than I can count. I’m an oversprayer yeah, I know some people don’t like that with this scent, but if I can’t smell myself, I feel like I don’t smell good. Bad habit or not, this fragrance is addicting. It’s one of the most consistent, go to scents I’ve ever owned. While Dior Sauvage might be more versatile, this one’s not far behind. It leans more into the clean, office type lane, but I wore it everywhere because smelling good always beats smelling like nothing.
This one’s for me. I’ve seen people say it’s overhyped or synthetic, but at the end of the day, it’s all about what you like. And for me? That crisp green apple note hits every time. Hopefully I’ll come across a scent that takes that note even further, but until then, this stays in the rotation.

YSL Y Eau de Parfum by KESAINTAURENT is an acclaimed fragrance that stands out for its fresh, crisp green apple note combined with sweet gourmand undertones like vanilla and amber. This unique blend appeals greatly to those seeking a reliably pleasant scent that works well for everyday wear, especially in professional environments where a subtle yet sophisticated aroma is appreciated. Green apple is an increasingly popular note in modern perfumery for its ability to impart a fresh, fruity, and slightly tart character that is both refreshing and approachable. In YSL Y, this note is balanced perfectly with smooth vanilla and warm amber, giving the fragrance a cozy yet uplifting effect. Such combinations create a scent that is sweet but not cloying, making it accessible for individuals who prefer fresh but well-rounded perfumes. The fragrance enjoys a solid longevity of around 6–8 hours with good projection, which means it can last through most daily activities without needing frequent reapplication. This durability and consistent scent profile make it a practical choice for daily users who want to maintain a polished and pleasant presence throughout the day. Despite some criticisms labeling it as synthetic or overhyped, the fragrance remains a top pick for many due to its balanced composition and versatility. Importantly, individual preferences play a significant role; what may not appeal universally still has strong appeal among fans of fresh, green, and sweet scents. For enhanced longevity and layering, pairing YSL Y Eau de Parfum with EOS Chill Breeze lotion is a recommended tip. The lotion adds a crisp cool layer that extends the scent's staying power and deepens the sensory experience. In the broader landscape of men's fragrances, YSL Y Eau de Parfum offers a modern, clean, and reliable alternative to classic scents like Dior Sauvage by emphasizing a gentler, green-apple-forward freshness that works well both in casual and professional settings. For those exploring fragrances within the sweet, clean, and fresh categories, this scent is a must-try and likely to become a staple.
