Quick note: I haven’t been posting lately because I’ve been waiting on this package since July 17th. Usually I review cheaper, more affordable fragrances, but I got curious and decided to cop two high end scents. This is the first one I’m reviewing, so let’s get into it.
🔍 First Impressions:
A lot of people said this smells like latex or rubber, but I think most of them are confusing the Extrait with the EDP. This is the red bottle the Extrait and to me, it smells nothing like what they’re describing. Everyone’s nose is different, but I’m not getting those weird notes at all.

Right off the bat this blew me away. The projection hit instantly, strong but not overwhelming. It filled the space without choking it out. The first scent that hit me reminded me of burnt sugar, like when you’re making flan sweet, smooth, and slightly toasted. I definitely picked up on almond and even a cherry vibe, which stood out more than I expected.
A lot of people say it smells like saffron or compare it to perfumes like Pink Sugar or maybe even Velvet Sugar. I tried asking the ladies around me but they’re not too versed in fragrances so I couldn’t really confirm if it smells like Ariana’s Pink Sugar or anything similar. Either way this one definitely caught me off guard in a good way.

I wouldn’t undermine this fragrance just because I only tested it for two days. During those two days, I didn’t get any compliments, but I also wasn’t around many people. The few ladies (I prefer women’s opinions) I did ask aren’t really into colognes or fragrances, so it was hard to get solid feedback cause they simply choose not to smell
That said, my mom and dad are big fragrance heads that’s where I get it from and they both seemed to enjoy it. Maybe I’ll do an update later if I end up getting compliments down the line. 💭 Final Thoughts
I genuinely enjoyed the smell of this fragrance. One thing I noticed right away it smelled oddly familiar, almost like a childhood memory, and I still can’t place why. But like I always say, everyone’s nose is different.
Personally, I didn’t get any of that latex, rubber, or dentist office smell people keep mentioning. To me, it smelled smooth, sweet, and warm. I honestly think I want to revisit this one in the winter or fall when it’s cooler out. Fragrances like this hit way harder in cold weather, and testing it during a humid summer probably didn’t do it justice.
Would I recommend this fragrance for the masses? No mainly because of the price. Most people aren’t going to drop $445 or $475 on a scent. That’s not to say it’s a bad fragrance it’s actually a great one but it’s not for everyone. Personally, would I buy it again? Maybe. This bottle is expensive, and I don’t feel like I gave it a full, fair test just yet. I do plan to revisit this fragrance in the winter to see how it performs in colder temperatures.
I might even do winter updates on other warm scents I’ve reviewed, like Liquid Brun, just to see how they hold up. As for this one, I genuinely like the scent, and I think it will shine more in cooler weather. I rushed this review a bit since I’m going on vacation next week and haven’t been around many people to give me feedback. Plus, the few people I have been around aren’t really into fragrances like that.
