China’s Famous CRAB POT is now in SG!!

I came across Pang Pang on TikTok and it immediately caught my attention. It’s a concept from China and they’ve opened their first outlet in Singapore, specialising in crab pots. The crab pot is priced at around $80, and you can add on various ingredients, almost like a mini dry steamboat experience. There are also noodles available which you can toss into the pot to soak up all the sauce.

Overall, the flavours were quite enjoyable. It reminded me a lot of the chicken hotpot you can find around Serangoon, especially the ones with the rich dark soya sauce base, except this version is dry rather than soupy. One of my favourite components was the chicken feet in the pot, which were really tender and flavourful.

That said, I do wish there were more add-on options or slightly larger portions, as it felt a bit limited in terms of how much we could customise and eat.

Overall, it is a good spot to try at least once, but I probably would not order the crab pot again. I would be more inclined to go for the chicken feet pot, the large intestine option, or even the chicken instead.

... Read moreHaving visited Pang Pang more than once, I found the concept really interesting as it offers a unique twist on traditional Chinese seafood pots. The dry style crab pot sets it apart from the usual soupy hotpots here in Singapore, providing intense flavors that linger. One tip for those planning a visit: try the other pots besides crab, like the chicken feet or large intestine pots. They were surprisingly delicious and offered better portion sizes, making the meal more satisfying. Also, while the current add-on options are somewhat limited, I hope they expand the menu to include more variety so diners can customize their pots more freely. Another thing I appreciated was the noodles served alongside. Tossing them into the crab sauce pot is a must—it soaks up the rich, savory flavors perfectly and rounds off the meal beautifully. Overall, though the crab pot itself is pricey and portions feel small, Pang Pang provides a fresh dining experience. For those craving authentic Chinese crab dishes or looking to try something new in Singapore, it's worth a visit at least once to savor the distinct flavors and atmosphere.
