POV: I love shopping but buying nothing

In my younger days, I was all efficiency, grab a list, zip through aisles, and bolt out with exactly what I needed. But as I’ve gotten older, something shifted. Now I savor the slow stroll, lingering to check out new products, eyeing snacks I’ve never tried, and chatting with cashiers or fellow shoppers about their favorite finds. Sometimes I’ll pick up a random item that catches my eye, wait in line, and then suddenly think, “Nah, maybe not today,” before sheepishly putting it back. Grocery stores feel like little worlds now, full of surprises, stories, and the simple pleasure of taking time to look. Who needs a list when wandering is half the fun?
