I am someone who will always check eBay first for a camera before spending full price.
As long as you really take the steps to make sure it’s legit you will be able to find high quality items in great condition.
My #sonyzv1 + the sony vlogger tripod came together and only cost me $468
When I looked at amazon the camera alone was going for $748 without the tripod
The tripod on Amazon was between $130-$140 alone.
So I was able to get both of those for less then the price of just the camera and it’s it perfect condition.
Both my favorite film cameras, the point and shoot and the one with a flash attachment and interchangeable lens are both from eBay as well.
1. When looking for products I always switch to buy now instead of bidding on items. This allows me to find good deals of set prices and not have to bid which increases the prices.
2. Always check the sellers reviews from their previous sells.
3. Always always always read the descriptions. The items with detailed descriptions are always better especially check to see if they put that the camera was tested and works well. If they did not test it that’s a bad sign.
4. Even if the description looks good, I always message the seller anyways to double check that the item was tested and doesn’t have any issues. Great sellers who have nothing to hide always respond back fast and are also willing to send pictures or answer questions you may have.
5. I like to try and stick to people who have refunds. This always gives a good sign that they aren’t trying to scam you and give you something else or something broken because they are willing to give you money back and return if issues.
6. With cameras make sure you check that it’s not a parts only deal as that is popular on eBay and you don’t want to accidentally buy a camera that was so sold for parts and does not work.
7. Go through tons of sales don’t just buy the first one you see. Add a few that look good to your watchlist, check descriptions and message seller, then based off that choose your item.
Also many sellers who really are trying to get rid of a product will send out a deal to people who have the item in their watchlist.
