Every time I go for a medical appointment, I still feel nervous… wondering what the doctor will say, or whether I might need to be admitted again. The anxiety before every appointment is real.

But I keep reminding myself — I’ve already been fighting through this for more than 1 year, and I’m still here, still staying strong. 💪❤️

This journey made me realise something… health is something we often overlook until life reminds us how important it truly is.

Health is wealth.

Please don’t wait until your body gives warning signs before taking care of yourself. Rest well, take care, and appreciate your health while you still can. ❤️

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I understand how nerve-wracking medical appointments can be, especially after a prolonged health struggle. Each visit can trigger worry about potential diagnoses or hospital readmission, creating a stressful mental space before you even enter the clinic. One way I found helpful to manage this anxiety was to focus on what I could control—my daily habits. Ensuring I have enough rest, eat well, and engage in gentle physical activity improved my overall resilience. It also gave me a sense of empowerment amid uncertainty. Another insight was appreciating that health is often overlooked until it becomes fragile. The adage "health is wealth" resonates deeply when you've experienced illness firsthand. This journey has transformed my outlook, encouraging me to prioritize self-care consistently, instead of waiting for symptoms to worsen. Additionally, maintaining open communication with my healthcare providers helped me feel supported. Asking questions and understanding my treatment plan reduced fear of the unknown. If you face similar challenges, consider keeping a health journal to track your symptoms and concerns. This can not only aid your doctors but also provide reassurance that you are actively participating in your care. Lastly, emotional support from friends, family, or support groups is invaluable. Sharing your experiences can alleviate feelings of isolation and strengthen your mental well-being throughout the healing process. Remember, taking care of your health is a continuous journey. Don't wait for warning signs; take proactive steps today to nurture your mind and body.
