Mammograms typically involve a low-dose X-ray of the breasts and are recommended especially for women ages 40 and above, or earlier for those with a family history of breast cancer. Besides routine screenings, maintaining a healthy lifestyle plays an important role in prevention and recovery. Balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and avoiding tobacco can reduce cancer risks. Emotional support from family, friends, and support groups can help patients cope with fear and anxiety. It’s important to listen to your body and be proactive about health screenings. Early detection and timely treatment can save lives, as my experience shows. Sharing survivor stories raises awareness and encourages others to prioritize their health. Remember, you are much stronger than you think, and self-care is an act of love and resilience. Life is precious, and annual mammogram checks are a crucial step in protecting it.

Health update***

Come along with me to the doctor! My blood pressure, cholesterol, sugar levels are really good. My diabetes is gone. Three months ago, was the last time I weighed myself. I was 213 pounds. I did gain 5 pounds, since the last time I seen the doctor. Now I am 218, but that’s OK! I do now have a kit.

Ladies get your check up please. I hate mammogram the machine is just not my favorite thing, while I don’t like it I have to do it every year. I’m all about be safe than sorry get them breast check especially when you paying for insurance. If I’m paying for insurance I’m getting all my money worth.

Get Your Yearly Mammogram

Friendly reminder to go get your yearly mammogram. I go tomorrow and I hate having it done but I know that it needs to be done. Also, do monthly breast exams on yourself on the 13th of each month. Most breast cancers are actually found by women who do this monthly. You know your own body.

Usually you don’t have a mammo done this young unless you have an “issue”. I had noticed blood so had a mammo done, then an ultrasound, followed with a biopsy a few days later. Now we wait.. I am anxious for the results. #mammogram
