I think Chicken Salad Chick is really good when you want a light meal while you’re out and about, and you don’t want a heavy, greasy burger. But do I feel like it’s the best chicken salad I’ve ever had? No.
Personally, when I want chicken salad, I want that actual, traditional chicken-salad taste—something very light and simple with bread and chicken salad. However, if you want an enhanced version, the Maui Mama Melt is really, really good. Again, it doesn’t necessarily give traditional chicken salad, but it’s still delicious.
As far as the sides, Miss Leslie had the broccoli salad, so I didn’t get to taste that one. The grape salad was pretty good. It was a fresh, light bite and kind of gave me a yogurt-type vibe. I’d give that about a 6.6 out of 10. The potato soup gets a 6.9 out of 10, and the macaroni gets about a 6.4 out of 10.
As for the chicken salad itself and my overall rating for Chicken Salad Chick, that’s in the video!
Would I recommend this place overall? Of course I would. It’s not necessarily run-and-get-it-right-now worthy, but it is definitely you-should-try-it worthy.
From my personal experience, finding a reliable spot for lighter meals that still satisfy your taste buds can be challenging, but Chicken Salad Chick hits a pretty good note for those days when you want something fresh and not overloaded with grease. One of the things I appreciate about the menu is the variety of chicken salad flavors, which lets you customize your meal depending on your mood. For example, the lemon basil and jalapeño varieties offer a nice punch of zest and heat, which makes the experience more exciting than your regular chicken salad sandwich. A popular favorite I’ve tried is the Maui Mama Melt — it’s not your classic chicken salad but combines the creamy texture with a bit of sweet and savory that works surprisingly well. Pairing it with sides like the grape salad, which has a refreshing hint reminiscent of yogurt, really rounds out the meal without making it feel heavy. Although some sides like macaroni or potato soup might be hit or miss, they generally provide a comforting complement to the main dishes. One tip I’d share is to try ordering a sampler if available, so you can taste multiple flavors and sides without committing to one. It gives you a better picture of what the place has to offer and helps you determine your personal favorites. Based on my visits, I’d say Chicken Salad Chick creates a solid alternative in the realm of quick-service eateries, especially for those seeking lighter, flavorful options instead of the usual fast-food fare. In summary, while it may not be the absolute best chicken salad you’ve ever had, it’s definitely a spot I’d recommend to food lovers wanting to explore different flavors and enjoy a refreshing meal. Whether you’re out shopping, on a lunch break, or just craving something easy yet tasty, Chicken Salad Chick is a worthwhile stop worth adding to your list.

Preferably I like sassy Scotty, which is a cheesy bacon, ranch chicken salad and then my mom got the jalapeño Holly one and she said it wasn’t too spicy and it was really good
