Saffron experienced three great loves in the Ichor Series, and Ares is one of them Their tale began in the first book, where he tried to kill her twice while staring at her like his world lived in the palm of her hand.
This is a throwback fan-art piece of Ares and Saffron, and it is still one of my absolute favorites. @artworkbyzoeholland created a complete masterpiece with this scene between Ares and Saffron, and I'm eternally grateful for it.
Ares is a character who I treasure most out of all my others.
He stole pieces of my heart with each sentence he uttered and each yearning glance he spared Sattron. His character development is (IMO) my best success as an author, and I hope you all love him as much as I do.
