The tradition of Bee Castle, the tradition of the northeast Sakon Nakhon, considered philanthropy by offering bees as a noble charity, so in offering alms to the dead at the rice giveaway (philanthropy for the dead), when offering a restaurant to the monks, it offered a bee tower to dedicate charity to the dead. ประเพณีออกพรรษาแห่ประสาทผึ้งจังหวัดสกลนคร ถือเป็นหนึ่งในงานบุญที่สำคัญและมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวของชาวอีสาน โดยเฉพาะชาวสกลนคร ในช่วงเวลานี้ ครอบครัวและชุมชนจะได้กลับมารวมตัวกันเพื่อร่วมกันทำบุญและร่วมประสบการณ์ร่วมในประเพณีที่เต็มไปด้วยความศรัทธาและความหมายลึกซึ้ง การถวายต้นผึ้งหรือหอผึ้งนั้นไม่ใช่เพียงการทำบุญทั่วไป แต่ยังแฝงไปด้วยความเชื่อที่ว่าพระพุทธเจ้าจะเสด็จลงมาจากสวรรค์เพื่อโปรดสัตว์มนุษย์ให้พ้นทุกข์ และการถวายหอผึ้งถือเป็นการแสดงความกตัญญูและทำบุญอุทิศส่วนกุศลแก่ผู้ล่วงลับ วัดพระธาตุเชิงชุมซึ่งเป็นจุดศูนย์กลางของงานนี้ยังมีความสำคัญทางจิตใจลึกซึ้ง เพราะถือเป็นสถานที่ที่พระพุทธเจ้าประทับรอยพระบาทถึง 4 พระองค์ การนำหอผึ้งมาถวายจึงมีความหมายเป็นพิเศษ นอกจากนี้งานออกพรรษาที่สกลนครยังเป็นโอกาสดีที่ญาติพี่น้องจากที่ห่างไกลจะได้กลับมาพบปะกัน พร้อมร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆ เช่น การแข่งเรือ ที่สร้างความสุขและความสนุกสนานไปพร้อม ๆ กับการสืบสานประเพณีเก่าแก่ สำหรับผู้ที่สนใจเข้าร่วมประเพณีนี้ ควรเตรียมตัวล่วงหน้าและทำความเข้าใจในความเป็นมาและความสำคัญของงาน เพื่อได้เก็บเกี่ยวความรู้สึกจากประสบการณ์ตรง ซึ่งจะทำให้งานออกพรรษาแห่ประสาทผึ้งที่สกลนครนั้นไม่ใช่เพียงแค่เทศกาล แต่เป็นช่วงเวลาที่เปี่ยมไปด้วยความหมายและความทรงจำที่ดีอย่างแท้จริง
