A forensics officer in Malaysia told me that during one of his work, he experienced an inexplicable strange incident.
Back in March last year, every time he was on a late-night flight, he often heard something coming from the same "morgue compartment."
It was a soft voice, like something hitting the inside.
He opened it several times, but everything was the same. The body of the deceased was still lying still. There was nothing wrong.
But when he closed the morgue and walked out, the sound always came back.
This kind of incident has been repeated for almost two full months.
Until one day he looked back at the owner of the body in the box. She was a woman who died of cancer and had no relatives to pick her up, so her body was kept here pending family coordination.
But one thing the authorities remember about this woman, when she was still in the hospital, had a very cherished item: a wig.
After chemotherapy until the hair was exhausted, this piece of wig became immensely important to her; she often called it "my crown" and would be immediately dissatisfied, if anyone touched it without permission.
For her, it's not just jewelry, it's part of dignity and identity.
But after her death, the wig back was not brought with the body; it was still left at the ward.
When the forensics officer thought of it, he quickly brought the wig back to the morgue and placed it next to her body.
After that, a strange sound that had been loud for nearly two months...It never happened again.
The story was revealed by Chee Heng Kuan, founder of the Community Policing Malaysia Volunteer Group, who came to help arrange a funeral for her.
On the last day before the cremation, they did not forget to wear the "crown" for her again, intending to find her family so that the woman who had to fight the disease alone could leave the world in peace and honor.
