Meet my kitty Lola!

As you've seen, Lola isn't just any kitty; she's a beautiful calico cat, and a tortie at that! I often joke that her 'tortitude' is real because she always seems to have a bit of a grumpy face, even when she's getting all the cuddles. Those stunning green eyes of hers can look so sweet, but sometimes they also give me that classic 'angry cat' stare, especially if I dare to disturb her nap! Speaking of naps, Lola is a true master of relaxation. You'll often find her curled up sleeping in the most unexpected places. One minute she's on a black surface next to my laptop, the next she's nestled comfortably in a black jacket or bag in the car seat. She really knows how to make herself at home anywhere, and if she's not sleeping, she's usually just chilling, observing her kingdom. Her favorite spots to snooze are often the coziest, like a soft bed or even inside a box she's claimed. It's funny how cats have their quirks, and Lola is no exception. She absolutely loves paper and plastic – if there’s a crinkly bag around, you can bet she’ll be sitting inside it. I've found her perched comfortably in a brown paper bag on the carpet, or even investigating a cardboard box with a tiny green ball. Boxes are definitely her favorite hideaway! It's like she has a special radar for anything that can be turned into her personal fort, a quiet place where she can observe us all without being bothered. And yes, it's true, she 'lovesss boys'! She has a special way of interacting with people, especially my male friends. She might be a bit standoffish at first, but once she warms up, she's all about the attention. Sometimes, she just sits there, looking directly at people, with that intense stare she masters so well. It's like she's silently judging, or just intensely curious about what everyone is doing. And don't even get me started on getting her to come when called! I've had to carry her to me more times than I can count because she simply won't acknowledge my calls. It's all part of her charm, I suppose! Despite her sometimes 'mad' expressions and her independent streak, she truly is a sweet little girl. She loves to walk all over me, or get in the way when I’m trying to do something important, always seeking attention on her terms. Her purrs are the sweetest reward for enduring her 'tortitude.' It’s these little everyday moments that make having a calico cat like Lola so incredibly fun and unpredictable. Every day is an adventure with her, filled with sleepy cuddles and sassy stares. I wouldn't trade her for the world, even if she makes me carry her around!
