Easy Snack!
Pumpkin seeds🎃
Roasted pumpkin seeds are an easy and tasty snack to make.
1.)Once I cut into the pumpkin and harvest the seeds, I make sure to clean the seeds really well.
2.) Then, I let the seeds dry on a towel.
3.) Next, I add some light olive oil, salt, and garlic powder into a bowl (you can get creative here and use whatever seasonings).
4.) Bake in the oven at 300 degrees until roasted (about 25 mins).
Roasted pumpkin seeds not only offer a crunchy and flavorful snack but are also packed with nutrients. These tiny gems are rich in protein, healthy fats, and various minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, and zinc. You can enhance your roasted pumpkin seeds by experimenting with different seasonings. Try adding flavors like paprika, cayenne pepper for some heat, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon and sugar for a sweet twist! Optimal roasting involves ensuring the seeds are dried properly to achieve that perfect crunch. Remember, it's important to roast them at a steady temperature of around 300°F to avoid burning and to achieve even roasting. Enjoy these seeds as a standalone snack or sprinkle them over salads, soups, or trail mixes to elevate your meals. This recipe is perfect for utilizing the seeds from your fall pumpkin carving activities and offers a guilt-free snack that you can enjoy at home or on the go.
