self photography studio in Taipei 📸🎞️

tried a self photography studio in taipei , zhongshan district with my fiancé & we really really love how the photos came out 🎞️

what makes this place stand out is how unique the merch is — not your usual prints 👀

💰 600NTD (~$24sgd ) per pax

including all photos taken & 1 merch to choose from

you can turn your photos into

• mega photostrip ( 60cm / 84cm )

• peel-apart film

• mini CD + photo strip

• vintage newspaper

& many other retro merchs!!

they have different room themes to choose from - highly recommend booking the one you like !!

our experience there was super smooth too :

📲 booked a timeslot via LINE (to reserve our wallpaper/theme)

📝 filled up a form on arrival + chose our merch

⚠️ same merch for both pax, but can choose different photos

➕ add-ons available if you want more

📸 brought into a private room

→ did test shots first

→ staff helped adjust lighting & angles to our preference

🧸 props available both outside + inside (based on theme)

⏱️ 15 mins photo-taking time for both of us

👩🏻‍💼 staff will pause the timer for you if you need any assistance in the room

after that:

📂 all photos uploaded to google drive

✏️ we selected & edited our photos

📲 sent them back via LINE

🖨️ prints were ready in ~10 mins (they’ll notify you to collect)

we chose the 💿 mini CD —

each of us got to pick 4 photos, and it even came with an NFC inside the disc + a photostrip (SO cute 😭)

we also added on a peel-apart film for that vintage look ✨

which costs about 1450NTD(~$58sgd) and i have absolutely NO REGRETS!!

... Read moreFrom my own experience visiting PHOTOBOOM in Taipei's Datong District, self photography studios like this bring a refreshing twist to capturing memories. What really struck me was the range of retro-style photo merchandise options—this goes way beyond typical photo prints you find at regular studios. Choosing from items like mega photostrips (up to 84cm long), peel-apart film prints, mini CDs with NFC technology, and vintage newspaper-style prints allowed for truly personalized keepsakes that stand out. The studio’s process was smooth and friendly. Booking a timeslot via LINE to secure your favorite room theme makes planning easy, especially as each room offers unique wallpaper and props to match different aesthetics—from vintage TV backdrops to colorful retro posters. The staff were incredibly helpful in adjusting lighting and camera angles during our 15 minutes of photo shooting, ensuring the photos suited our preferences perfectly. Another highlight was the ability to quickly review and select favorite shots via Google Drive, then receive neatly printed photo souvenirs within minutes. Adding a peel-apart film extra gave our photos that authentic vintage vibe, making every image feel special. The pricing is reasonable too, with the package including all photos taken, plus a choice of one merchandise item starting at 600NTD (~$24 SGD) per person, and optional add-ons for those wanting more keepsakes. For anyone visiting Taipei and looking for something more interactive and nostalgic than the usual photo booth, I highly recommend trying out this self photography studio. It’s not just about photos, but about creating a memorable experience with your loved ones, complete with fun props and cool retro-themed print options that make for fantastic gifts or personal mementos. Plus, the convenience of staff assistance and short wait times for prints mean you can enjoy your time without stress.

Our impromptu casual PWS 🤭
Was telling Mr Chan that I was quite grumpy about the fact that we didn’t managed to take a coloured gown PWS during our honeymoon and we didn’t have time to commit to another wedding studio for PWS… So I went to search for an alternative and it’s the best decision ever! Chanced upon this selfie

Read this if you are NOT into “bridal” shoots
Not every pre wedding shoot has to be gardens, beaches, and art museums. Some of the best photos come from places that already feel like your real life where you hang out, laugh, date, and build your story together 🤍 If you want your pre-wedding shoot to feel more personal, fun, and documentary-

Korean Artiz Studio went MIA 😭 We paid the full amount already 🤦🏻‍♀️
Never thought this would happen to me 💔😮‍💨 We paid the full amount to Artiz Studio, and everything was supposed to be straightforward. I even have friends who completed their photoshoots with them earlier this year, so this came as a huge shock. We just saw the news about the Taiwan outlets

Inspired by the 肖像 trend on xiaohongshu, I decided to join the trend too as an ode to my 31 self for surviving a rough year. Did mine with HUAKO photography studio who has recently opened up in Singapore! Initially thought that it was a scam as I’d to pay $50 deposit 😅. Was pleasantly surprised by
