BUGONIA - beautifully eerie
Have you ever left a movie feeling both unsettled and concerned? That’s exactly how Bugonia left me. It’s visually stunning and weirdly beautiful — but the message beneath it? Haunting.
Without spoiling anything, it really made me think about how far humans go in the name of “progress”… and how nature eventually pushes back. I still don’t know if I loved it or hated it — but I can’t stop replaying it in my head.
There’s something eerie about the way Bugonia moves — slow, buzzing, hypnotic — like a nightmare wrapped in pastel light.
You’re never quite sure who’s in control, or who’s actually right. The tension between them made me uncomfortable, but in the kind of way that lingers — making you think about control, guilt, and the way we treat the world around us.
When the credits rolled, I just sat there, quiet. It wasn’t just a movie — it felt like a warning.
