⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

First book. This one was actually fun imo. Beauty and the beast was my fav always so I really liked this book. But then Feyre had a pause and went back to her family and I got bored but the scenes under the mountain were so awesome!

Acomaf

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I know this one is everyone's fav but it was all romance. I honestly don't remember a lot outside of 54 and 55 but this is where I thought the spice peaked at first and I liked how the series wasn't spicy. I hated how Feyre painted the cabin and how she left Rhys in the mud and threw a fit. Overall Feyre was really annoying in this book. Those two chapters held this whole book on their shoulders. This one was my fav before -->

Acowar

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

THIS ONE!! The whole build up to the war with hybern was a little boring just completely necessary! Every bit of politics in this book is key to the last few chapters and I really really enjoyed this one!! My fav of the series. The world building came together here

Acofas

❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

Okay hate me if you must but the pov and narrator switch in this one wasn't a make or break factor, personally. I will read this one over and over and over just to revisit the inner circle! So cozy and unprompted by the other books BUT imo it is actually super important to read this one. A lot of people say it's not but it is.

Acosf

⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was... so bad. From the beginning it was just train, library, train, library, sleep with Cassian, let Cassian be freaky, train, library. And then gwyn and emerie were so random. I like how emerie was in acofas tho! But I'm so mad that Nesta was content with just Valkyrie and didn't actually own up to lady death. And never learned to actually USE her silver flames on command. Plus the trove pieces came to her by dumb luck and she was kind of a crybaby. I wanted her to be a really strong female leader and she gave me nothing. Cassian was also too soft. For lord of bloodshed he wasn't giving. The ending with the blood rite was so random... I could keep going but I will stop there.

I'm excited to see the future of this series because I need to know about Azriel, Tamlin, Elian, Mor, Eris, vassa, and koschei. Acosf completely dropped the ball on the plot. I was so mad. Like... that was it?

Overall I give the series an average of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars. If the next book is thick with plot, it'll be 5

... Read moreThe ACOTAR series, crafted by Sarah J. Maas, blends fantasy with romance, exploring themes of love, sacrifice, and self-discovery. Each book offers a unique perspective on Feyre's journey, with pivotal plots that keep readers on edge. For instance, the first book introduces Feyre's character and sets the stage for her transformations influenced by the fae world. As the series progresses, particularly in 'A Court of Mist and Fury,' the depth of Feyre's relationships expands, incorporating elements of romance intertwined with political dynamics. Many fans argue that these emotional arcs heighten the stakes in 'A Court of Wings and Ruin,' culminating in a climax that grips the audience. Fans have also expressed mixed feelings about 'A Court of Frost and Starlight,' often seen as a bridge between major plotlines. Although some enjoy its intimate portrayal of the characters, others feel it detracts from the high-stakes narrative found in preceding installments. Additionally, the importance of interspersed narratives and shifting perspectives contributes to a richer storytelling experience. Readers have noted the significance of supporting characters, such as Rhysand and Nesta, who bring varying dynamics to the forefront, particularly in 'A Court of Silver Flames.' These developments introduce new adventures and emotional complexity, setting the stage for future books. In summary, the ACOTAR series presents a rollercoaster of emotions and intricate world-building that appeals to high fantasy enthusiasts. Whether seeking romance, immersive storytelling, or character growth, there's something for every fan.
