This is the second book in the acotar series and a wonderful listen, I finished it in two days 🤯🤯🤯
So without further delay here’s my review (No spoilers 🚫)
✔️Still love feyra, I saw a lot of ppl saying they hate her but to me she grew as a person. She had literally died and came back as something she had no clue about, yet the one person she knew in this new world didn’t even help her through it.
✔️love Rhy’s inner circle it’s like the group of friends everyone wants to be
✔️Without giving away to much the glittering in this book is on point
✔️As someone who doesn’t read fantasy it is a slow burn but keeps me on the edge.
✔️ Tamlin needs to get over himself
✔️if this became a show it I would fall over it gives hints of shadowhunters, and fate of the winx kind of.
✔️I’ve notice that feyra gave major Elana Gilbert in the sense of always blaming herself and then trying to turn the story so that she gets none of that blame even if she was wrong
✔️I’m still not a fan of Nesta but I’m glad that someone put her in her place finally
✔️Anytime I hear mention of a mental shield, I think Bella’s gift in twilight
If you are a fan of fantasy or even you aren’t; Give this book a try!!! Definitely worth the hype 🖤

... Read moreOkay, so after finishing 'A Court of Mist and Fury,' I just had to share more about why Sarah J. Maas is an absolute genius! As an author, she doesn't just write fantasy; she crafts entire worlds that feel so real, you practically live in them. Her ability to weave intricate plots with deeply flawed, yet incredibly relatable, characters is just unparalleled. You're not just reading about adventures; you're experiencing them alongside Feyre.
Speaking of adventures, ACOMF takes you on such a wild ride. It's not just about battles and magic, although there's plenty of that! It's about Feyre exploring the vibrant, complex Night Court, navigating tricky politics, and discovering new sides to herself and the people around her. Every chapter feels like a new journey, uncovering hidden truths and expanding the world of Prythian in ways you never expected. The sense of discovery is huge, and Maas truly excels at making you feel like you're right there with them, facing every challenge.
What often gets 'buried' under the surface action in ACOMF are these incredibly powerful themes of healing from trauma and finding your true self. Feyre's journey from the first book left her with so much emotional baggage, and seeing her confront those internal struggles, to slowly unearth her hidden strengths and desires, is truly inspiring. The book brilliantly explores how past wounds can stay 'buried' within us, but with the right support system, we can work through them. It's a testament to Maas's writing that these deeper, more meaningful aspects resonate so strongly.
And let's talk about overcoming 'blocks' – something many characters, especially Feyre, grapple with. Whether it's mental shields, emotional barriers, or societal expectations, characters in ACOMF are constantly breaking through their own limitations. Think about Feyre's struggle to embrace her Fae nature, or how Rhysand and his Inner Circle had to break free from the tyrannical rule of Amarantha. It's all about pushing past what holds you back. The book is full of these moments where characters find the courage to challenge the status quo, both internally and externally, leading to incredible growth and change. It's a powerful reminder that even when things feel impossible, there's always a way to break free. If you're looking for a book that offers not just an escape but also valuable insights into personal growth and resilience, 'A Court of Mist and Fury' is definitely one to pick up!
