The changes in my life came all at once this summer! New home, new job, new healthcare system. But it doesn’t have that super awesome high feeling and here’s why
On Saturday my dm reached out and offered me a new position. I initially applied for 2 spots at a new location that’s not super far from my new apartment. I applied for both because I wasn’t banking on the better one but I was at least expecting better compensation. I was kinda humbled so hard when she said there’s no pay raise because it’s essentially a transfer. I wanted to cry but there was really no point. The pros outweigh the cons so I accepted the offer! I just feel a little defeated because this is the second time I’ve tried to make more money at my job and I’ve been shut down. The first time I actually quit and came back because I missed it. But at the end of the day I would much rather have this job that I love and adore than make more money at a place I hate.
This will open a new door for me as my company is more inclined to hire into management if you’ve been at a couple locations. Anyway the last slide is a few things I gathered for my wardrobe! I’ve worn only black for years in cosmetics but the new concept location has a completely different dress code! 💙
I’m trying to hype myself up even though it’s not the most seller opportunity I’ve been given. This could be good for me! A new environment and a high profile location where maybe I’ll get some recognition. I will miss my old team and location that I’ve been at for years but it’s only forward from here! And I really want to make a positive impact on the community I am joining. This is a new city for me and I won’t have my regular clients anymore but I’m happy to make new friends! That’s why I love this field so much
