Semaglutide Progress —> swipe
I started on October 1st at 170lbs. Not the heaviest I’ve been but not where I want to be. I have fluctuated up and down on this shot. Some days I’m winning and then I don’t change anything but the scale goes up a little and to me it’s been quite discouraging. Here’s the thing though:
slight tw: ed
I am on a serious, medically supervised outpatient plan for ed and weight loss. If I did it my own way, it wouldn’t be sustainable or healthy so I got help. I’ve always been mid-size and struggled with prediabetes in the past before I reversed it on my own. I needed this kind of support! I now see a dietitian, bariatrics specialist, and weekly nurse for this kind of support. My take on glp1 is if you’re not doing it medically, you’re not learning about the WHY. And you’re not learning about your body. So many people are on these shots just to lose weight. I want to lose it, sure, but I also needed help learning wtf I need to eat and how to move my body.
I am losing at a sustainable and healthy pace but in my eyes and my past habits, it’s nothing. I wake up everyday and my brain tells me “It’s not working”. But then I have days like today where we do the full body scale and I see the wins from INSIDE my body. And at the end of the day my organs are more important than my body shape.
