My application process for long lasting press ons
My fav nails are nail reformation from their website or places like tjmaxx and Marshall’s but my husband got me this set from Olive and June. They’re quite cute I think. I also purchase from a girl who hand makes her own but they’re expensive and while I love supporting her, sometimes $10 is all I have 🥴
Press on nail application to last 2-3 weeks:
1. Wash your hands… please clean under your nails too
2. Attention to detail with cuticles with this extra step:
•follow directions for the sally hansen cuticle remover and use some good quality nippers
3. Wash your hands again if you need to because from here you want the nails as dry and oil free as possible
4. File the surface especially near the nail bed but don’t be too aggressive because you don’t want them to be too thin and then hurt when it’s time to remove the nails
5. Use an alcohol wipe to really make sure the nails are dry. This is IMPORTANT
6. Apply a dot of nail glue near the base of your natural nail and another to the press on.
7. I like to slide the nail down to my cuticles at an angle so it looks like they’re naturally almost under if that makes sense. And then hold with pressure for 15-20sec while making sure to push any bubbles out. If you use too much glue use the alcohol wipe fast to get it off the edges.
8. Repeat the glue and application for.. how ever many fingers you have 😌
9. Take a bunch of weird pics and post them bc I wanna seeee
To remove, typically you just need to soak them in warm water and oil or soap but I personally use very hot running water bc I’m a dragon and they melt right off. I also want to just answer some questions I get!
