Weight loss 🍋✨
I haven’t posted about this in a while for updates bc I was getting kind of some really mean comments about how I did it so I wanted to just do one last post and then leave it be
If you’ve followed me for at least a year, you probably know I was pre-diabetic and had fatty liver and it kind of scared me real bad because cardiac disease runs in my family. I remember the appointment when I learned that about myself and I just sat in my car and cried. For about 2 years I tried working out and different diets that never worked. I’d lose and gain the same 10lb and I gave up. When I switched insurance and got a new pcp I told him what I’ve struggled with and he referred me to THE BEST weight loss team. All women who supported me through everything and taught me so much about my health and what habits I needed to change for my lifestyle. That being said, ultimately I did wegovy shots from October to March and have maintained 125 ever since coming off. I got down from 180 to 119 and it felt almost unhealthy so I made the choice to stop and gain just a little. (Also for financial complications)
I’ve joined ballet, started doing Pilates and barre again, and completely changed my eating habits with everything I learned. I still mentally struggle with binge but I’ve been so good about stopping the thoughts before it happens and have not relapsed.
This is just to share that sometimes getting help is okay and not everyone’s body can just get rid of the weight on its own. Sure you can do calorie deficit but if you’re not learning what to eat instead, or how to move your body, the shot and diets are pointless. Most people regain a lot in the time I’ve been off but I think I was given the right steps for success and if I had to go back, I’d do it again ❤️
