Meet My Micro Bully

So many of you have asked about what it's truly like to live with a micro bully, especially after seeing Millie's antics! These amazing dogs are a unique blend of strength and sweetness, and while Millie certainly has her quirks, there's so much more to the breed that makes them incredible companions. First off, let's talk about their personality. Micro bullies, like my own Millie (who happens to be a striking white micro bully with black markings), are generally known for being loyal, affectionate, and incredibly devoted to their families. They might look tough, but they're often big softies at heart, craving human attention and cuddles. They can be quite playful and energetic, requiring regular exercise to keep them happy and healthy. A good walk or playtime in the yard is usually enough, but they also love mental stimulation – think puzzle toys or training sessions. Don't let their compact size fool you; they've got big personalities! One thing I've definitely learned is about their care. Diet is super important. With Millie, I've had to find a high-quality kibble that supports her energy levels without leading to unnecessary weight gain. Because they're so muscular, maintaining a healthy weight is crucial for their joint health. Regular vet check-ups are a must, just like any dog, to stay on top of any potential breed-specific health concerns. Grooming is fairly straightforward with their short coats, but a good brush once a week keeps them looking shiny. Now, about traveling! Seeing Millie looking so comfortable in an airplane, even with a Southwest Airlines safety card peeking out from from the seat pocket, always makes people curious. Traveling with a micro bully, or any dog for that matter, requires planning. For flights, it's essential to check airline pet policies well in advance. Some breeds have breathing restrictions, and size/weight requirements for in-cabin versus cargo vary. Millie usually travels with me in the cabin, under the seat, which means she needs a comfortable, airline-approved carrier. Always make sure your dog is microchipped, has up-to-date vaccinations, and you carry their health records. I also pack a favorite blanket, some familiar toys, and plenty of water to keep her comfortable and hydrated. Road trips are often easier, but still require frequent potty breaks and ensuring they're safely secured in the car. It’s all about making them feel secure and loved, no matter where we are! Living with a micro bully is a journey full of laughter, loyalty, and sometimes, very loud snores. They truly become a part of the family, and the bond you form is something truly special.
