Some of us were never taught how to receive.

We were taught how to survive.

How to push through.

How to handle it.

How to be strong.

And eventually that strength became an identity.

The problem is that carrying everything alone may make you look powerful while quietly exhausting you.

Healing isn’t learning how to carry more.

Sometimes healing is finally allowing yourself to put something down.

... Read moreGrowing up, many of us internalize the belief that strength means bearing all burdens alone. This mindset, while often praised, can lead to silent exhaustion and emotional depletion. Through my personal journey, I learned that healing doesn’t come from pushing harder or carrying more—it comes from the courage to let go and ask for help. In particular, shadow work—a process of exploring the unacknowledged parts of ourselves—helped me understand that strength and softness aren’t opposites. Instead, they can coexist beautifully. For example, being dependable and responsible is admirable, but it shouldn’t mean neglecting your own needs or suppressing vulnerability. Recognizing when to rest and prioritize self-care is a form of strength often overlooked. The messages from The Rebirth Code resonated deeply with me: strength becomes a wound when it’s used as a shield to suffer silently. Embracing support and setting boundaries instead of enduring in silence can liberate emotional energy and encourage true rebirth. Reflecting on the question, 'Who would I be if I stopped defining myself by how much I can carry?' invites powerful self-awareness and growth. Practically speaking, incorporating this perspective involves daily reminders to pause and assess if you’re overburdened. It could mean delegating tasks, seeking therapy, or simply allowing yourself to receive kindness without feeling the need to reciprocate immediately. Each act of releasing control is healing. Remember, you are allowed to rest and to be soft; it’s part of evolving into the whole, resilient person you are meant to be.
