Her transformation from what looks like a more 'human' prayer pose into that grotesque, beastly form is both tragic and terrifying. It really highlights the dark lore of Yharnam and the pervasive curse of the beasts. Understanding her story, even just a little, made the fight feel more impactful for me. She's not just a monster; she was once a figure of faith, a guardian, and now she's a victim of the plague, desperately clinging to her pendant. And oh my goodness, don't underestimate the help of Old Hunter Henriett! If you're struggling, definitely summon her. You can find her summon sign near the lamp, just before the fog gate. Having her draw some aggro, even for a few precious seconds, can give you vital time to heal, reapply buffs like Fire Paper, or get some free hits in. She's a fantastic distraction and can do a surprisingly good amount of damage, especially if you help her. I noticed she often uses her Hunter Blunderbuss, and I bet she uses some Bone Marrow Ash for extra punch, which is something I totally recommend for your own ranged attacks if you’re using a firearm like the Hunter Pistol. My overall strategy involved sticking close to her, trying to get behind her for those crucial charged attacks, and always having an eye out for her healing attempt. She has wide, sweeping attacks, but if you dodge into them rather than away, it often puts you in a better position to counter-attack or get behind her. I found that equipping some serrated weapons, like the Saw Cleaver or Saw Spear, also helped immensely, as beasts take extra damage from them. Remember to manage your stamina and don't get greedy. She also has a powerful slam attack that can be tricky, but it leaves her open for a moment if you can dodge it. While she's sometimes compared to bosses in games like Elden Ring due to her grand, cathedral setting, Vicar Amelia has her own unique challenges and a distinct Bloodborne feel. After she was finally "PREY SLAUGHTERED," getting that Gold Pendant felt truly earned. It was such an exhilarating victory! If you're still stuck, keep at it, hunter! You'll get there!
