Simple Planning + Organization = Big Change
❤️the list of things on my refrigerator : makes it super easy for shopping & restock on Sunday reset day . I recently started doing my grocery shopping online with delivery… TOTAL game changer! I’ll go over that more when we get to the meal planning slide.
❤️dry erase calendar : usually I have a paper calendar so I can add dr appointments and things on the calendar ahead of time but I haven’t decided on my kitchen aesthetic yet so I’m just sticking with this 😂 I do use my phone calendar and my planner for dr apts and things like that and write them on the dry erase calendar that month.
❤️list of things to bake & make on my calendar board : I stopped buying a lot of my kids snacks and we all started eating healthier so I make a lot of of our favorite store bought treats at home now & I also have a “pay what you can” bakery cart set up in front of my house where I offer these treats to the pubic & I make treats for my 1:1 coaching clients 😊 I’m a fitness & nutrition coach but I love my sweets & treats ! So I do allot of baking and this list space helps me keep track of what I want to make✨
❤️meal plan board : this is one of my favorite planning hacks! Before I even write my plan on my board I have a notebook I didn’t post where I write down meal ideas and ideas for fun learning activities to do with my kids. In this book I write out a chart. I write the dates for the whole month going down the side of the page , then I’ll go threw my refrigerator, freezer & cabinets too see what I have and put meals together out of that and write them in the 1st dates in the list. Then I go through my meal ideas and recipes & write these meals on the chart next to each date . I do meal prep sometime too so I’ll make a meal for Monday dinner and we’ll have that for lunch on Tuesday or Wednesday,I might add rice to it or make it a taco or bowl but it’s pretty much the same thing (money saving hack) I do this for breakfast, lunch , dinner and a few snacks and while I’m adding each meal to my meal plan chart I have my grocery list and I’m adding everything I need for that meal that I don’t have to my shopping list . After I do this for the month (or almost the whole month) I write them on my meal plan board. This helps me remember what I planned so I don’t waste food by forgetting about it and helps me stay on top of my healthy eating habits & not missing meals . I order all my groceries online and have them delivered usually so then I just go in the app and order everything on my list . If it’s veggies and fruit I won’t need for a couple weeks I add them to the “save for later” so I know I need them and don’t have to take the time to add them to my cart again just click , order and my shopping for next week is done too. (Time saving hack) I prep some of the meals / cut the meats and veggies , things like that . I don’t cook my meats or veggies ahead of time because I like my food fresh so my version of “meal prep” is a little different from most people but it works for me and my family 😊
❤️to do list / kids activities & notes board . This is where I write all the things I want to do and get done threw out the next week or two and I slowly cross things off everyday & at the end of each day I feel so much more accomplished & productive because my list is getting shorter .
❤️planner : this is where is all starts , before I write anything on my boards I write it all in here . If I have a lot of things on my list I want to get done I’ll add 2 or 3 things to my daily plan section in my planner . So say I have 12 things on my list , I’ll put 2 things in the section for my daily plan and cross it off the board when I’m done . This helps me from feeling overwhelmed, like I have to do 12 things … no I don’t I only have to do 2 😊
❤️digital planner : I don’t take my planner with me anywhere so when I get calls for dr apts and client check in I add them to my reminders on my phone (I organized my app to have different lists) then I add them to my planner later on .
❤️routine : I wrote out my dream daily routine for morning , afternoon & night and another routine for my Sundays (Sunday reset) , I stuck to it & now it’s habit . My routine does change from weekdays to weekends with the kids being out of school but not much && don’t do everything everyday or in the same order everyday but it’s a great guide and definitely helps me get things done & feel more productive at the end of the day.
