🌸 to my younger self 🫶

Dear Younger Me,

I see you. I see the little kid who felt like they were always on the outside, who had to navigate a one-parent household while pretending to be okay around kids who seemed to have everything. I know you felt like you never fit in at school, like you were somehow less than, and like home wasn’t a safe or steady place. You felt betrayed, lied to, and alone—and none of that was your fault.

I want you to know this: you are not broken, and you were never less than anyone. The pain and the loneliness you’re feeling now don’t define you—they’re proof of how strong you are, even when you don’t feel strong.

One day, you will build your own sense of belonging. You’ll discover that your worth has never been tied to money, to family approval, or to anyone’s acceptance. You will find people who see you for who you truly are and love you because of it.

You are going to grow into someone resilient, compassionate, and wise. You’ll learn to trust yourself, to create a home inside of you, and to give yourself the love you didn’t always get.

You’ve survived things that would have crushed many. I am so proud of you for still being here. You are not alone anymore—I’m here with you now. And your future is brighter than you’ve ever dared to imagine.
