Only thing I regret is MY time you took from MY son.

6/25 Edited to

... Read moreFrom personal experience, dealing with someone who expects you to carry all the responsibilities while they avoid their own can be incredibly draining and harmful, especially when it affects your relationship with your child. Hyper-dependence on one individual under the guise of "asking for help" can lead to feelings of resentment and regret, as it often means you miss out on precious moments with your loved ones. Setting boundaries and learning to say no are crucial in maintaining your mental health and preserving your family time. In my life, I witnessed how allowing someone to offload their parental duties entirely onto me created tension and robbed my child and me of quality interaction. It’s a harsh lesson in recognizing when help turns into dependency, which is harmful not just to your personal well-being but also to your family. Accountability is essential; every parent must share in responsibility to nurture a healthy environment for their children. Moreover, I've found that openly communicating my feelings about the lost time and the unfair dynamics helps in healing and preventing future regrets. It also encourages others to reflect on their behaviors, especially those tagged as #peoplewhoshouldnotbeparents and #lowvibrational, which can resonate with individuals encountering similar struggles. Ultimately, prioritizing your child's time and emotional well-being is paramount, and saying no to hyper-dependence is a step toward safeguarding that precious time.

I basically get the newest iPhone every year. Here’s the thing, I never do trade-ins. My used phones, they’re mine, plain and simple. I’d rather stash them in a drawer and even take a peek now and then to revisit those old memories than hand them over. Trade-ins just scream privacy risks to me.
