HOW I BECAME A FULL TIME INFLUENCER ⬇️

I’m excited to share this with yall, as I’ve gotten tons of messages from you guys about how to pave a way for yourself in content creation, influencing & social media management. 🫶🏼

When I first wanted to get into influencing, it was not a popular thing. I was about 15 years old when I decided that I wanted a different life than what everyone else wanted. This automatically set me apart in high school, which intern led me to get made fun of for making review videos about products that I really liked and truly just love the art of creating content for the joy of it. That’s how I got involved in it..

Fast-forward after college, I was sold the same pipeline like everyone else was that if you go to college and work your way up in a job, you’ll be able to live a life full of luxury and all the things you want, and this could’ve been farther from the truth, especially in an economy that we have. I always knew I wanted more for my life and was sick of living paycheck to paycheck.

So one day. I decided enough was enough. I absolutely hated my corporate job. It drained me and didn’t give me the purpose that I was looking for. It was hard on my relationships, friendships, and family members and for me that was my why.

I always knew that. I had a gift for content creation and being able to Give back to people and businesses who needed my help, so that’s when I created B Social Media Marketing. Already doing a lot of side work on the side for family ,friends, and small businesses. Then one day I decided why can’t I turn this into something much bigger than myself. I talk to my husband about this, and I truly believed in that moment that I could do anything if I set my mind to it and believe that God had put that on my heart for a reason.

Fast-forward to now it’s been a full year of my business making well over six figures doing what I love to do, which is travel, influencing, as well as social media management, and content creation. Trust me when I say that I am the most normal person in my life has made me more special or more unique than someone else, if you have a dream and a passion or an inkling that you know you want a different life pursue that, you will get judgment from others, and even people who are close to you like family members or close friends but don’t let that stop you from your fullest potential.

I think of that quote that says “ If you were to have a conversation with a person you could’ve been what would that conversation look like and would you regret anything?” … that hits deep for me, because I know I never want to leave this life knowing I could’ve done more, knowing I could’ve been more, and encouraging others to do the same.

Let me know if you found this helpful as I know I wish there were more transparent influencers on social platforms who were open about their journey. I’d love to get into the logistics of how you can do it with you.

If you’ve made this long all the way through this post. Thanks for being here.🤗🫶🏼❤️

XOXO- your online BFF B 👯 ❤️

... Read moreSo many of you reached out asking for the real talk – how do you actually make the leap from a stable job to full-time content creation? It wasn't just a single decision; it was a journey of strategic steps and unwavering belief. First, I truly dove deep into understanding what I loved. For me, it was clear: sharing my travel experiences and helping others with their social media presence. That's how I naturally transitioned into being a travel influencer and a dedicated social media manager. If you're pondering a similar path, start by identifying your unique blend of passions and skills. What comes effortlessly to you that others struggle with? That's your goldmine! I remember the skepticism from friends and family when I first started. "What exactly is a travel influencer?" they'd ask, or "You're getting paid to post on Instagram?" It felt isolating at times, but that early judgment only strengthened my resolve. My advice? Embrace it. Not everyone will understand your vision, and that's okay. Your belief in yourself needs to be stronger than their doubts. Keep your 'why' at the forefront. If you're aspiring to be a travel influencer, you don't need to book a round-the-world trip immediately. Start local! Explore your own city or region with fresh eyes. Practice your photography, videography, and storytelling skills. Share your authentic experiences. What makes your perspective unique? For those looking to become a social media manager, begin by offering your services to small businesses, perhaps even for free initially, to build a robust portfolio. Create case studies showcasing your results – numbers speak louder than words. The financial leap was undoubtedly the scariest part. I didn't just quit cold turkey. I saved aggressively and started taking on freelance social media clients while still working my corporate job. This 'side hustle' became my bridge. When I saw consistent income flows from my nascent B Social Media Marketing efforts, that's when I gained the confidence to go all in. It’s about building a runway, not jumping off a cliff without knowing where you’ll land. Reaching that six-figure milestone wasn't an accident; it was a result of diversifying my income streams. As a travel influencer, I learned about affiliate marketing, secured brand deals, and even started developing my own digital products. As a social media manager, I refined my service offerings, identified premium clients, and learned to correctly price my value. It’s a continuous learning curve of strategy, consistency, and adaptation. Don't be afraid to invest in yourself – whether it's through courses, networking, or mentorship. It's an investment in your future, not an expense. Stay authentic, work hard, and never stop chasing that dream life!
