... Read moreIf you're a fan of decadent desserts, stuffed cookies with salted caramel offer a delightful twist on classic chocolate chip cookies. The secret to these irresistibly gooey treats lies in the soft caramel center that melts perfectly inside the cookie when baked. When preparing the dough, chilling it for at least 30 minutes ensures the cookies bake evenly and maintain a chewy texture. I recommend using high-quality soft caramel candies to avoid hard centers that can become tough to bite. Flattening the dough before placing the caramel is important because it helps enclose the caramel completely, preventing it from melting out during baking. Baking at 350°F for 10 to 12 minutes strikes the optimal balance between a tender crumb and a slightly crisp edge. For an extra touch, sprinkle a small pinch of flaky sea salt atop the cookies just before baking to amplify the salted caramel flavor. Additionally, swapping regular chocolate chips for a mix of milk and dark chocolate can create a richer taste profile that complements the caramel. These cookies pair wonderfully with a cold glass of milk or a warm cup of coffee. These salted caramel stuffed cookies are perfect for occasions like holiday gatherings or casual treats. Their unique softness, combined with the sweet and salty surprise inside, makes them a memorable dessert that many will ask you to recreate.
