Waiting on the Lord!

Lamentations 3:25: "The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.

Waiting on the Lord can be hard for us. As humans I feel like we are very much in the “now” I want it now not later. NOW!

Being in a season of waiting can be hard. We start to wonder did God forget about me? Is he even hearing my prayers? When is my waiting season going to be over? Sound familiar? Maybe you have been in a waiting season for just a few months, years.

Waiting seasons can truly test our patience and faith, but they often serve as critical periods for growth and spiritual maturity. I have found that embracing a waiting season involves more than just enduring it—it’s about actively seeking God’s presence and finding peace in His timing. During my own waiting periods, I’ve learned to anchor myself in prayer and meditation on Bible verses like Lamentations 3:25, which reminds us that the Lord is good to those who wait for Him. This verse has been a beacon of hope, encouraging me to trust that even when answers seem delayed, God’s plan is unfolding. Another helpful practice has been journaling my thoughts and prayers. Reflecting on what I am learning about myself and my faith helps me see the bigger picture beyond the immediate struggles. Waiting can feel lonely, but through journaling and consistent Bible study, I feel connected to God’s promises and community. It’s also important to support one another during waiting seasons. Sharing experiences with friends or faith groups provides encouragement and new perspectives. Sometimes, hearing how others navigated their own periods of waiting can be uplifting and inspiring. Ultimately, waiting is not just about “doing nothing.” It is an active season of hoping, praying, learning, and growing. By embracing this time with patience and trust, we can emerge stronger in spirit and more aligned with God’s purpose for our lives.
