My Ancestry Test
I ordered an Ancestry test kit on Black Friday and the process was quite simple and user friendly ☺️
📦 I got the kit in the mail and received a saliva test tube, a baggie and the return supplies to ship it back.
🧪 It’s really easy instructions, you just fill the test tube with saliva when you are on an empty stomach and then lock it in the baggie and pack it.
📬 I dropped it off at a Dropbox and waited for a bit. At first I couldn’t see any tracking but after about 2 weeks I finally got an email saying it was received.
📧 After it was received I got consistent emails telling me where my DNA was in the process. FYI it is a process so you can expect about a month before seeing your results.
📊 Finally I got an email saying my results were ready and I logged on the app and learned about my ancestry!
👥 The app also connects you with other people who have taken the test and are related to you. I even got connected with second cousin who reached out once she was notified we were matched!
⭐️Overall rating: 9/10: Just because I couldn’t track the test at first I was a bit uncertain but eventually worked out.
