A Figure In Green

I finished this figure and it was definitely fun to put together. I want to add embellishments at some point, but I'm still working on Christmas presents. The headless chicken is not my work, I bought it from a vendor at Mike the Headless Chicken Festival a year or so back. Mike is now hanging

Mimic

I finished another gift! This is a crochet mimic from a free YouTube pattern/guide. It definitely took awhile, but overall I enjoy how it turned out #crochet #mimic #dungeonsanddragons #crochetproject #HANDMADE

Death's Head Moth

I made a moth for my SIL. She has the coolest black and white tattoo of one, so this was a no brainer. I changed colors because, honestly, I thought this color combo was prettier #crochet #moth #deathsheadhawkmoth #amigurumi #crochetinspiration

My Aztec Zodiac/Educational Book

I got this wonderful book in from Matthew Torres. He's such a great teacher of Mezoamerican theology and mythology. He not only signed my copy, but I was able to get my Aztec Zodiac explained! I'm a snake and vulture. The snake in particular is interesting because I've had a connection

Coasters

After about 2 weeks at my new home in a new state, I'm starting to crochet again. I realized that I needed coasters for my coffee table, so I threw these together real quick. #crochet #crochetcoaster #grannysquare #crocheting #crochetproject

New Current Read

Holy cow, it's been a crazy time. I moved across the country and it was hella stressful. But I'm mostly settled, so now I'm back to my usual reading. I've been looking forward to this book because 1) it's JRR Tolkien, and 2) it's Anglo-Saxon history. I know about Horsa

Current Reads

I'm a bit behind. life has been.....chaotic. But I paused my read of Ascension since I wasn't far into it yet so that I could read Don't Go There. I love Ocker's books, so I couldn't wait. And it helps that its a quick read. Its got some really interesting places that are spooky

I'm starting this fun sounding spooky story! A mountain suddenly appears in the Pacific, reaching high above the waves. As investigators climb ever higher, strange things begin to happen. #reading #currentlyreading #books #bookrecs #bookrecommendations

Turtle

I made a turtle for my Dad's birthday. He chose the pattern, and gave me an idea of colors. It was a quick workup, yet oddly a pain in the butt? #crochet #crochetproject #crochetturtle #amigurumi

Red Shirts

I'm starting my first Scalzi novel. I've heard he's silly and interesting, so I thought why not? Red shirts are definitely a silly thing, and while I've meandered away from Star Trek (I was a Trekkie growing up), I still love this trope. #books #reading #currentlyreading

Glenwood Caverns

I went to visit some nearby caves recently. I hadn't been there in years, so it was neat to see how much had changed. It's fun, and the caves are gorgeous #caves #caverns #colorado #travel #sightseeing
