To Can or To-Go

Momma needs some energy mid day. What can I say? Celsius has quickly become one of my favorite low calorie energy drinks. While online shopping I realized that my favorite energy drinks came in a to-go powder form.

Each box comes with 14 to-go sticks for $14.99. Equaling out to a little over $1 per drink. The can version is $2.39 per can when not on sale. So instantly I was a bit skeptical to be completely honest. Could a can and the liquid really increase the price that much?

Today I purchased both the can version to enjoy in the future. Partly because I’ve had this one quite a few time. The other part is because I didn’t want my heart to explode from the caffeine. Today I enjoyed one of the to-go packs. The only difference is it includes lime in the flavor line up. Which I personally really enjoyed. It also being non carbonated is also a win for me.

I think this might be most enjoyable for those that find traditional canned energy drinks as too sweet. Since this is a powder you can adjust the amount of water you add to it, to further dilute the flavor. I’m looking forward to enjoying the rest of the box. I think it would even be nice to see if I could use half a pack for just a tiny pick me up.

How do you like to enjoy your energy drinks?

... Read moreAfter diving deep into the Celsius powder vs. can debate, I realized there's so much more to consider beyond just the initial price tag! My journey started with needing that mid-day boost, but now I'm thinking about convenience, health, and even how to get the most bang for my buck. One thing that really stands out with the Celsius powder sticks, especially the Kiwi Guava Lime I tried, is the incredible versatility. Unlike the pre-portioned cans, these packets give you the power to customize. I found that if I’m looking for just a subtle pick-me-up, I can easily use half a packet in a smaller glass of water. This is amazing for those days when you don't need the full caffeine punch but still want a little energy nudge. Plus, being able to adjust the water means you can truly dial in the sweetness to your preference. If you find canned energy drinks a bit too intense or sweet, the powder form is a game-changer! Let's talk about the 'healthy' aspect, a common query I've seen. Both Celsius cans and powders are celebrated for being low-calorie and zero-sugar, which is a huge win in my book. However, the powder packaging often highlights benefits like 'metabolism acceleration' alongside 'essential energy.' While both forms deliver on the energy front, the non-carbonated nature of the powder can sometimes feel a bit gentler on the stomach for some people. For those who are sensitive to carbonation, this is a definite plus. My personal take? Both options are a great alternative to sugary sodas or coffee, but the powder offers that extra layer of control over your consumption. Portability is another huge factor. While I love grabbing a cold can from the fridge, those powder sticks are genius for travel, gym bags, or even just keeping a few in your purse for emergencies. No more worrying about cans getting dented or taking up too much space. Just toss a packet into your water bottle, shake, and you're good to go! I've even started keeping a few in my office drawer – perfect for when that afternoon slump hits without having to run to a store. Just remember to give it a good shake to ensure it fully dissolves, especially if you’re using cold water. A little tip from my experience: using slightly chilled water helps it mix smoother. In summary, while the canned Celsius offers instant gratification and that satisfying fizz, the powder packets truly shine in terms of cost-efficiency, customization, and ultimate portability. For me, the convenience of having a flexible energy option that I can tailor to my needs has made the Celsius powder sticks a staple in my routine. So, whether you're a can loyalist or curious about the sticks, I hope my deep dive helps you decide which Celsius form fits your lifestyle best!
