I love the range of price points and I much prefer their rewards system over Sephora’s.
Now, I still really love Sephora, some of my favorite products are from Sephora and I can only get them there, such as Haus Labs, Danessa Myricks and Rare Beauty. But if I had to choose, Ulta would be my pick! 🫶🏼
... Read moreThe age-old debate between Sephora and Ulta Beauty is one every makeup and skincare lover has faced! While both stores offer incredible products, my shopping habits have led me to form a clear preference, especially when it comes to getting the most bang for my buck. Let's dive deeper into why Ulta often wins out for me, addressing some of the common questions you might have when deciding where to splurge on your next beauty haul.
First off, let's talk about rewards programs. When comparing does Ulta or Sephora have better rewards, I genuinely feel Ulta's Ultamate Rewards program is more generous and user-friendly. With Ulta, your points convert directly into dollars you can spend on anything in the store, with no brand exclusions. This flexibility is a game-changer! Sephora's Beauty Insider program, while it has its perks like seasonal sales and exclusive access, often requires you to redeem points for specific products or experiences, which can sometimes feel restrictive. If you're always looking for the best deals, Ulta's loyalty program allows you to save money directly on your purchases, making it a clear winner in my book for consistent savings.
Another key difference is the range of price points and brand selection. Many wonder, is Sephora or Ulta higher end, or is Sephora or Ulta cheaper? Ulta truly shines by offering a fantastic mix of both prestige and drugstore brands. You can pick up a high-end foundation alongside an affordable mascara, all in one trip. This diverse brand selection means it caters to a broader audience and budget, from beginners just starting their beauty journey to seasoned pros. Sephora tends to focus primarily on high-end, prestige beauty, which is great for those exclusive brands, but it doesn't offer the same flexibility for everyday essentials. Their product ingredients and formulations are often top-tier, but Ulta also carries high-quality skincare and makeup across various price points, including their own Ulta Beauty Collection which offers impressive quality for its price.
When considering product ingredients and quality, both retailers offer excellent options. However, Ulta's broader selection means you have more choices to find products that work for your specific needs, whether you prioritize clean beauty, specific active ingredients, or brands that understand and represent diverse skin tones and hair textures. I've found Ulta's brand selection to be incredibly inclusive, making it easier to find products that genuinely resonate. While Sephora has made strides in diversity, Ulta's long-standing commitment to offering a wide array of brands, from indie to established, often feels more comprehensive.
Finally, let's touch on the overall shopping experience. Both stores offer online and in-store shopping, but for sheer convenience and value, I often find myself gravitating towards Ulta. They frequently have promotions, coupons, and sales that stack with your loyalty points, maximizing your savings. If I had to choose, Ulta would remain my pick due to its unparalleled rewards system, diverse product range that spans all budgets, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes finding new favorites a joy. While I'll always pop into Sephora for brands like Haus Labs or Rare Beauty, Ulta is where I do the bulk of my beauty shopping.
I love both it is just I am picking Ulta bc the price range is great and makes sense but Sephora I get like 3 items and it is 100 or more bucks but if I get let’s say 3 stuff also but at Ulta it would be like around 65 bucks and also all the testers are clean and also all the works are so nice but that is just my opinion , if you don’t agree with me
