For defense, you want a Blade that's heavy and has a low recoil. Think about Blades that are rounder or have minimal protrusions – these deflect hits rather than absorbing them head-on, which can cause self-bursts or knockouts. When it comes to Ratchets, anything that offers good weight distribution and maintains stability is a plus. But the Bit, in my opinion, is where defense truly shines. I've had great success with Bits like 'Ball' or 'Tapered' for their incredible stability and stamina. The 'Gear Ball' and 'Gear Flat' Bits, with their enhanced grip on the Xtreme Line, are absolute game-changers.
