Don’t skip this step when you paint furniture

Cleaning helps remove grime, oils, dust. Those things can prevent your paint from adhering to the surface. By removing them you will also get a smooth finish.

Clean your piece with a combo of vinegar and soap and water. You can also use a degreaser like Simple Green.

Make sure your piece is dry before you start too. Moisture is the enemy of adhesion.

You got this!

Furniture flipping tip
Don’t skip the polyurethane top coat on your furniture flips! This will add durability and protect your paint from scuffs, dings, scratches, and water marks. I prefer to use min wax polyurethane in a satin finish. It’s for enough sheen it wipes clean easily but isn’t too shiny. #furnituret
