Failing doesn’t mean you’re not qualified… it means you’re being refined. 💚✨

Whew… let me be real for a second. I failed my health coach exam 😮‍💨

And yes, this is after passing my Certified Weight Management Specialist exam and my Certified Nutritionist exam.

But here’s the value: your journey will test you before it elevates you. And as a busy woman trying to optimize your health, your wellness, your routines, your peace… you need to hear this: one setback does not take away your expertise, your progress, or your purpose. 💚✨

If you’re a working woman juggling a career, kids, stress, errands, life… and you still keep trying to build healthier habits?

You’re already successful.

📌 Personal admission: I was embarrassed at first. I study daily. I’m disciplined. I’m passionate. But I’m also human. And the truth? Busy women like us don’t get the luxury of slowing down — so when something knocks us off track, we feel it deeply.

Here’s what this taught me, and what might help you too ⬇️

💚 Your wellness journey won’t be perfect

💚 You’ll have “not enough time” days

💚 You’ll fall off routines & restart

💚 You’ll doubt yourself BUT keep going

💚 You’ll redefine what healthy looks like for your life

Actionable tips for busy women who want to optimize their health:

– Give yourself permission to be a beginner again

– Break your habits into simple 5–10 minute actions

– Fuel yourself with small, nourishing meals that fit your schedule

– Move your body in doable ways — even a 10-minute walk counts

– Rest with intention, not guilt

– Keep showing up even when the results feel slow

I’m still learning. Still growing. Still becoming Coach BNJ — because excellence is built through repetition, not perfection. I’ll pass this exam. And when I do, you’ll be right here with me. 💚

And if you’re on your own journey to glow up — inside and out — this setback reminded me of something:

You don’t need to be perfect to transform. You just need to stay in the room.

... Read moreFailure is a part of many growth journeys, especially for those pursuing health and wellness careers. It’s inspiring when professionals share their real experiences with setbacks, like failing a health coach exam after achievements such as passing Certified Nutritionist and Certified Weight Management Specialist exams. This honesty helps normalize the ups and downs of personal and professional development. For busy women juggling multiple responsibilities—careers, family, errands, and self-care—the pressure to be perfect can be overwhelming. However, setbacks do not erase your knowledge, progress, or passion. In fact, they often serve to refine your skills and mindset. If you find yourself struggling with time management or motivation, remember that your wellness journey will naturally have imperfect days, moments of self-doubt, and times when routines are disrupted. Breaking down health goals into small, manageable actions—such as 5 to 10-minute habits—is a smart strategy. This approach fits into packed schedules without adding stress and helps sustain momentum. Prioritizing nourishing meals, even small ones, and getting some movement, like a simple 10-minute walk, can have significant benefits for physical and mental well-being. Rest is an essential pillar of health that is often overlooked. Intentional rest without guilt allows your body and mind to recover, thereby improving focus and energy for the days ahead. Keep showing up and performing these small health-positive actions regularly, even when progress feels slow or invisible. Joining supportive communities, such as the G.L.O.W. Lounge, can also foster accountability and provide encouragement. Learning to redefine what health means on your own unique terms empowers you to create sustainable, balanced wellness practices that respect your lifestyle and individuality. In summary, embracing setbacks as part of growth, implementing practical and simple habits, prioritizing rest, and connecting with like-minded individuals will help busy women not only survive but thrive in their health journeys. Remember, transformation does not demand perfection—it requires persistence and self-compassion.
